Quick Access

Recent Activity

Schedule

Manage appointments and start patient encounters.

Patients

Permanent patient records, history, vaccinations, diagnostics, and billing.

Encounters

Active and completed patient visits.

Prescriptions

Medication orders connected to patient encounters.

๐Ÿ’Š Student dosing helper: Use a current veterinary reference or case-provided dose in mg/kg (or another validated dose), then use the helper to calculate the amount per dose and convert it to the selected tablet/capsule strength or liquid concentration. It can also translate q24h/q12h/q8h into plain language. It does not tell you which drug, dose, frequency, route, or tablet fraction is appropriate for a real patient.

๐Ÿ“ Dosing Math Helper

Enter the reference dose you have already selected for the case. The tool only does the arithmetic.

Prescription-writing reminder: A complete regimen should identify the drug, dose, route, frequency, and duration. Write leading zeros for values below 1 mg and avoid trailing zeros (for example, write 0.5 mg, not .5 mg or 0.50 mg).

Prescription Reference

Search commonly used veterinary medications and learn what they are used for, available strengths, and why they may fit a condition.

Educational reference only. This library is for veterinary student practice. It does not replace a veterinarian, current drug label, hospital protocol, formulary, or current veterinary pharmacology text. It includes an arithmetic-only dosing helper that requires the student to enter the reference dose; it does not select a patient-specific dose or regimen.
One search box recognizes medication names, brand names, conditions, diagnoses, species, drug classes, dosage forms, injectable/shot options, and common uses. Try searches like allergies, itching, shots, skin infection, pain, cats, or a medication name.

Diagnostics

Order tests, enter your own findings, or reveal simulated findings.

Diagnostic Findings

Student Entry

Students can document their own interpretation. A simulated case finding can also be revealed when the student is ready.

Billing

Simulated charges, invoices, and payment status.

Learning

Practice cases and optional learning tools.

Practice Cases

Generate a simulated patient and work it through the PIMS workflow.

Clinical Reasoning

Optional prompts for problems, differentials, and next-step planning.

๐Ÿงญ What Should I Do Next?

Optional prompts that help students decide what information or action is still needed.

๐Ÿ“ Prescription Math Lesson

Learn how weight, mg/kg, tablet strength, liquid concentration, and frequency turn into prescription directions.

AI Tools

Optional tutor, hints, case generation, and provider comparison can remain separate from the core PIMS workflow.

Built-In Grading Examples

Two fully functional cases demonstrate exact diagnosis, strictness, optional reasoning, documentation, and N/A scoring.

Example 1 โ€” Canine Parvovirus

Diagnostics required; clinical treatment and documentation matter.

Example 2 โ€” Feline Wellness Visit

Diagnostics and medication are not required and can be graded as N/A.
